Monday Pretty: Etsy Mother’s Day Cards

I love my Mum and am incredibly blessed to have two wonderful grandmothers and a mother-in-law who I respect. Next weekend is Mothers Day, an organised opportunity for us to be kind to our Mum’s and take a moment to remind them how much they matter. I am excited that I will be able to see my Mum that weekend for the first time in ages, I tend to see my Mum around birthdays not this day for her.

TREASURY mothers day cardThis Etsy Treasury is just a few cool cards that I found that you could send your Mum.

Check out some of my other treasuries here, here, here and here.

Monday Pretty: A comfy cushion for our couch

etsy april

We have a pile of cushions in our lounge room that we don’t use and the ones we do use are grubby and flat. So I went on the hunt recently to see what alternatives are out there and this treasury list was born.

There were so many options and to be fair I really just want 4 or 5 cushions to put some personality into the space. Oh and they have to be snuggle-able so if I am in there watching a movie or reading a book it is there to ensure optimal coziness.

Since our couch is blue/eggplant it needed to be something linen but some red would work too. The USA flag is an obvious shout out to the honeymoon which I like, the fox is just cool, I would have to snuggle the Union Jack when watching Doctor who and the mustache is just cool.

Monday Pretty: Easter on Etsy

easter 2013

I’m back with my another Etsy Treasury List for the month (I couldn’t resist) and this time I’ve found a bunch of Easter goodies to share with you.

Without meaning too I ended up with a bit of a bunny theme but to be honest it was hard to find things that you could have in your home that didn’t look cheap. I do love the cushions though and the idea of having a couple of cushion covers you bring out at this time of year.

Easter seems crazy early this year and it will be here really soon. I always feel that Easter is one of the markers of time each year, it always feels like a big chunk is gone by Easter which in a way is true.

Easter does of course have a more serious side and is a time of reflection for many of us about Jesus’ sacrifice. Certainly it is for me.

The artist formally known as Monday Etsy Pretties

Over the Christmas/New Years break I thought a lot about my regular series. I know that I love writing Monday Etsy Pretties but over the last year there have been so many other pretty things I have found outside Etsy that I have wanted to share. So for 2013 I am changing things up a little.

Pretty

The first Monday of each month will now be dedicated to Etsy treasury lists. I had so much fun putting together treasury lists like those I did for Halloween, Christmas, and 2013 calendars that I am bringing them back as a regular series. I have some great ideas for lists throughout the year. You can also see all the boards I have created here.

The following Mondays I will travel the interwebs to find you all sorts of pretty things to buy. It could be anything – a new cover to an old classic, a great stationer, fantastic bees wax candles I am up for sharing anything that I genuinely think is pretty.

If you have a shop that you think might inspire me please let me know. I am more than happy to have a look, and if I find something I will share it (no promises though).

Monday Etsy Pretties: Organised Blogging

2013 will see a real focus on this here blog (keep your eyes out in the new year for all sorts of things happening here). If I am going to treat this seriously, like I do my paid job then it’s time to get organised.

Most of these stores have loads of other options for keeping you organised if you aren’t a blogger so check them out here.

This is the last Monday Etsy Pretty for 2012. I have had a lot of fun finding pretty things on Etsy all year and I hope you liked having a sticky beak around with me.

Monday Etsy Pretties

This week is one giant hint to anyone out there on the hunt for a Christmas present for me. I found a ceramic owl at Bed Bath N Table at Chatswood Chase. Its technically a lantern but I would like to see it in my kitchen used to hold all of the tea bags we own.

This fantastic handmade ceramic owl cookie jar is available Muddy Me.
