Have you found Fat Mum Slim’s Photo a Day challenge? Its a simple as it sounds – Fat Mum Slim shares the prompt list and then every day you take the prompt and take a cool photo.
To keep track of the month leading up to the wedding I am going to partake this August. I’ll share them daily on Instagram and weekly here on the blog. Join in or follow #photoadayaug on Twitter.
I think its a good idea to get you taking photos of randomness. Just looking through the list there are some really cool prompts and some that are honestly quite scary. I mean how do I take an interesting photo of a hole?
Head over and visit Fat Mum Slim to read more of the story.
As excitement mounts for our honeymoon to the USA I can’t help but be drawn to maps to start thinking about our next adventure together. That it is one colour would make it a really striking images for the wall. Actually it could be perfect in our front hallway. We have this narrow little hallway that is just the path from one end to the other, would be a great place for something like this.
As I step ever closer to becoming a formal part of the Holz clan I know how important it is to be excepted by your partners family. After all Richard chose me, they just got lumped with me. So I can only assume that the very open, public acceptance that has been shown to the Duchess of Cambridge by her husbands family must warm her heart. It made me smile last week to see that she is now an official part of what was William and Harry’s foundation.
I have to applaud them for not going crazy straight away and finding just three areas where they want to make an impact. It’s so easy to try to be all things to all people and I am sure there was pressure to do so. Its how I would do it.
What a great quote under that banner. Yes, the cynics will say it is a well crafted message by well paid PR advisers but I don’t care. What I do care about is that they taking advantage of the position they find themselves in for good. This is exactly the role that I think royalty should play in the modern world and definitely something the British Monarchy does exceptionally well.
Hard to believe its only one month to the big day. Plans are well in order and I am so excited about what we have organised to celebrate our love. It’s been so much fun receiving RSVPs from our guests and putting final touches on the day.
It can be easy when you are so crazy busy with work and wedding to forget to appreciate each other. The love doesn’t change but when reality sets in you end up snapping about silly things. Surely we aren’t the only couple in this boat? Even if you have someone else doing all the work you don’t have nothing to do. Our suppliers are really more for on the day than in the lead up, which may be because we* have some strong ideas of how the day should look/run.
The next month will fly by in a flash. I hope when we are 80 we will look back on this time and smile. Before we start though, Richard I want you to guess how much I love you
*ok me, I am one with the strong ideas about how it should look. Richard has been incredibly supportive and has provided some wise counsel when what I want just can’t be made to fit into our budget.
Is this not one of the sweetest creatures you have ever seen. Its the description of Hanna the deer that gets me The Deer is one sweet, gentle friend . When you`re having a bad day, Hanna will fill you full of cheer! I know having a friend that will fill me with cheer is something I regularly look for.
Some people have way to much time. I hope this weekend you find time to do something others consider wasteful.
Locked in most of the honeymoon this week so we now turn our attention back to the wedding day itself. Its nearly here but I am happy with just how much is done, though our to do list is still pretty crazy we are now able to just play with the little details that make the day special.
We had some gorgeous weather this weekend, made me think about summery dresses. Not that summery dresses have to wait for summer. Heather at work wears hers with tights and she looks cool and comfy, genius!
We are off to celebrate Harrison’s 5th birthday this weekend. In that spirit we hope that perhaps one day Harrison will do something just as cool for his future self.
Given my obsession with owls and that I own an iPhone 4G I just had to share. Not sure how practical this would be when you are holding the phone but it does look pretty.
I actually have the necklace that they have used here. Pretty sure I got it at Diva so you could make one yourself, though probably not for under $10.
