Classic image of the royal wedding taken in a specific artistic direction. Then you start to notice all of the little details, like their names in their skin. Personally I think this is one of the nicer pieces of memorabilia (if you can call it that) though it would need to go with other things you have in the room. Memorabilia is always hard to get right, you want something to remember the moment but it needs to be something that you would actually want in your home. A rare combination, which is why we don’t have any in our home.
Has it really been a year since the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge? It seems like only yesterday my parents and I sat and watched the wedding late into the night. Happy anniversary to you both! They say the first year of marriage can be hard so congratulations to you both!
Don’t forget ladies Prince Harry is still single, I look forward to watching the next royal wedding or maybe being there.
I hope this story of the Queen claiming everyone had gone mad is true. Makes me smile to think that even the Queen, someone who has been through so much in the public spotlight, would consider this madness. It was a pretty incredible day and it’s been wonderful to see Kate come into her own as a proper princess. She still has a way to go but she is definitely off to a flying start.

Today is ANZAC Day. On this day we commemorate the landing of Australian and New Zealand tropps at Gallipoli on this day in 1915. Although the date was really about the original landing this is more than just those who served on that beach, we remember all those who have served Australia during war.
My childhood memory of the Gallipoli story is one of courage but also of what can happen when leaders get it wrong. The Gallipoli Peninsula is this skinny little beach and the opposing troops were entrenched in the hills when the ANZACs arrived. The story as I remember it was that the generals realised we were on the wrong beach but it was too late and we stayed too long. I remember old people from when I was a kid saying that you shouldn’t just listen to those in charge, you should stop and think about what they ask. Now, I realise that this is easier said than done but there is some wisdom in the idea of listening to what those in charge say and asking questions.
Find out more about ANZAC Day here, here, here, here and here. One day I would like to be in Gallipoli for an ANZAC Day dawn service, one day.
More great crafts from mooo.com.au (soon to be tinyme), this time for ANZAC Day. I think these are a really lovely way to share the story
I know this is a break up song, but if you take knowing that out of the equation this song is just empowering. Next time you are slaying dragons listen, hopefully Adele will help.
Something wonderful happens when fashion and a good cause work together towards a common goal.
The Witchery White Shirt Campaign is my favourite example of how these two can work together. As implied in the title buy a white shirt from the collection and 100% of the gross proceeds of the shirt go to Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. OCRF is focused upon the understanding of the causes of ovarian cancer, its early detection and improving patient survival. What I didn’t realise until I had heard of this campaign was that although ovarian cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women most ovarian cancers are not diagnosed until the late stages of the disease. If there is one thing I have learned about cancer getting it early is so, so important if there is any hope of surviving.
Please if you have or know anyone with ovaries jump online now or head into store to buy a shirt from the collection. Or visit their Everyday Hero page and donate directly.
I love fairytales. Not just the stories but their place in society and how they have evolved over the centuries. It makes a lot of sense then that they are really popular books to make into movies.
Disney’s first animation was Snow White in 1937. In 2012 two more Snow White films are being released – Mirror Mirror and Snow White and the Huntsman. I haven’t seen either yet and in my opinion (based solely on watching the trailers) I am most looking forward to Snow White and the Huntsman. Have a look at the trailers yourself and let me know what you think.
I don’t know why but I always feel there is something special about quilts. This dinosaur design is just adorable, can’t you just picture it on a little bed keeping someone small warm all winter.
Check out the trailer for the the next season of Doctor Who. So excited!!!!!
Video from Set Phasers to LOL. Great site though be very, very careful for spoilers. Richard very kindly takes that bullet for the team, sharing only the safe posts with me.
